Not enough signage

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue category anonymously at 19:32, Wednesday 11 August 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Accident waiting to happen on Copdock roundabout. People use the middle lane from the A12 to turn right however you can go straight in the right hand lane so people turn in front of you. After a few near misses myself, more cameras or road signs are needed telling people the correct lane to be in.

  • Thank you for your observations regarding road markings on A12 at Copdock roundabout.

We do not have any plans to change the road markings or signs at the roundabout.

The road markings at the roundabout were renewed last year and both the signage and the markings are outlined on the approach to the junction. The markings should not cause a conflict if drivers follow the lanes and advice set out in the Highway Code.

Drivers will sometimes have to change lanes while on, or when leaving, roundabouts and any safety concerns relating to the manoeuvres you describe appear to be because of poor driver behaviour.

    Kind Regards Highways England

State changed to: No further action
