Thank you for contacting National Highways about the street lights not working.
Thank you for making us aware of the street lamps not working in this area. We conduct regular inspections of the East Midlands Strategic Roads Network, which include streetlighting assets, that are the responsibility of National Highways. As such any safety critical defects are identified and dealt with as a priority and non-safety defects are dealt with over longer time scales dependent upon the specifics of the location. Wherever possible, work is scheduled alongside planned closures and upcoming schemes of work. While this can sometimes increase the time it takes to complete repairs, it does help to reduce disruption to the travelling public, and avoid any additional unnecessary closures on the network.
Kind regards National Highways
