The layout at the northbound junction 6 joining the m56, due to the roadworks is extremely dangerous.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

The give way/ stop markings for the lane joining the m56 at junction 6 is an accident waiting for happen. Even if the cars on the motor way are travelling at the 50mph, the flow of traffic is continuous at peak times and in order to joint the lane you have to take a risk and squeeze in. There is no safe option to join the motorway at those busy times.

Updates

  • This is a dangerously redesigned junction. I feel uncomfortable joining the motorway as very little space is provided to join. I have come dangerously close to an accident on occasion here. I feel it is only a matter of time before this will happen.

  • Hello

Thank you for providing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to notify us and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    We have looked into this.

To address this we have lengthened the eastbound junction 6 entry slip road to give more room to merge with the traffic.

Kind regards, National Highways M56 junctions 6 to 8 scheme

    State changed to: Fixed
